The world-famous baroque quartet Red Priest, perform a colourful carnival of music from the 17th and 18th centuries in their own inimitable, high-octane style. Favourite works by the great baroque masters intermingle with some unsung heroes and brand new arrangements, in an evening of baroque brilliance with a modern twist. The programme will include concertos and sonatas by Vivaldi and Telemann, celebrated overtures, arias and variations by Handel, bizarre early baroque adventures from Biber and Mielczewski, and Royer’s extraordinary musical depiction of an attack of vertigo!
Led by recorder playing maestro Piers Adams, Red Priest consists of Adam Summerhayes (Violin), Angela East (Cello) and David Wright (Harpsichord).
