Guitarist, composer and ukulele virtuoso, Richard Durrant, comes to The Georgian Theatre Royal with his trademark blend of original guitar music, British-flavoured folk, JS Bach and plenty of tales from the road.
Richard is taking part in Cycling Music 2020 which sees him travelling all the way from St Magnus Cathedral, Orkney, to Brighton Open Air Theatre in time for the summer solstice, performing at a whole range of venues on the way.
The tour is his way of reducing his carbon footprint whilst playing music in some wonderful places and drawing attention to the climate crisis.
In September, the Cycling Music pilgrimage continues onwards from Dieppe to Santiago de Compostela.
If you would like to cycle with Richard to Santiago de Compostela, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
“One is left with the impression of a man who loves music and life in equal measure.”
“Brimful of technically impressive guitar playing on the folk/ classical cusp, with nimble runs, deft arpeggios and quicksilver fingering.”
"Exceptional ability and artful arrangements to add to the jaw dropping (and humorous) live performance."
